In addition to my last blog about our Paris city trip hereby also some authentic eating options.
Favourite cafe’s and restaurants in Le Marais and around les Jardin des Tuileries:
La Favorite is a nice sidewalk cafe with beautiful church- and city views – 6 Rue de Rivoli
Café Charlot is perfect for a real Parisian lunch, spotting hipsters and trendy Parisians – 38 Rue de Bretagne
Rose Bakery has a unique facade, nice ambiance and the best pastries – 30 Rue Debelleyme
Café Marly is a definite must because of the spectacular location right under the arches of the Louvre. It is quite crowded but has a direct view at the glass pyramid. Don’t go here for the food, just enjoy a nice coffee and the amazing view – 93 Rue de Rivoli
Merci concept store also has a cafe-restaurant. Ideal for a fashionable lunch with direct views at the Parisian street life and beautiful facades across the street – 111 Boulevard Beaumarchais
La Terrasse de Pomone is located in the middle of the beautiful Jardin des Tuileries. Here you can enjoy the best Italian ice cream for €7 per 2 scoops, with a nice garden view.
After watching the sundown by the Seine, we found a really nice authentic French restaurant called: Chez Joséphine, on a quaint square with great atmosphere in the middle of le Marais – 6 Place du Marché Sainte-Catharine
For a trendy dinner at one of the new hotspots of Paris, there is a boat restaurant called Les Jardins du Pont Neuf on the banks of the Seine with really nice views. To make reservations in advance go to: Les Jardins du Pont Neuf website
Click on the pictures to see close ups and read the article about Les Jardins du Pont Neuf.
But of course spontaneous lunching and dining can be done all around Le Marais on the small city squares and sidewalks. There are cute restaurants everywhere, for example around Rue du temple and Rue du Turenne.
Enjoy your French lunch, caffé and dinner!
